Cambodia taps Yoga

PHNOM PENH Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism will support Yoga classes at tourist destinations to enhance the tourist experience in the country.
Tourism Minister, Thong Khon, told local media that the country should tap Yoga, which is a healthy practice and increase options for tourists to enjoy and learn something new during their visit.
Yoga classes are being established in the capital Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and at resorts particularly to cater to tourists.
inside no 4“Next year, we will organise Yoga at resorts to support well-being and peace,” he said.
The first ever International Yoga Day was held 21 June in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. It complies with the UN decision to make 21 June an International Day of Yoga. It was first introduced to the UN Assembly by the Indian Prime Minister and gained a supporting vote from 175 nations, the highest number ever for a resolution in the 193-member UN General Assembly.
